The certification, established by the US online platform Expertscape (www.expertscape.com), aggregates information on the scientific activity of experts in every field of medicine and in every corner of the world.
For the definition of the ranking, Expertscape examines all the scientific works published in the last 10 years on the PubMed database and assigns a score to each publication (prestige of the magazine, actuality of the publication, hierarchy of contributions based on the position in which the signature appears of each author in the publication, etc.). What results is an objective ranking of the best experts, the best hospitals, cities and geographic areas in relation to the treatment of a specific pathology or – as in our case – the expertise in a diagnostic technique ever more directly involved in advanced therapeutic procedures.
