Cardiocentro Ticino has always been deeply committed to research and innovation, in the belief that health care primacy can be pursued only through direct contribution to the evolution of scientific thought, investing significant resources in technological innovation and in translational research, intended as the integration of research -whether basic, pre-competition or applied research – into clinical practice, collaborating with the most important academic institutes and university hospitals, both at a national and international level.
Over the years, Cardiocentro Ticino has endowed itself with infrastructures and staff of international standing, conducting research in different fields: from cardiovascular medicine to pharmacology, from molecular biology to the implementation of advanced therapies combining medicine and biology for the development of new pharmacobiological treatments, up to interdisciplinary research, blending the world of social sciences with that of technical sciences in the service and for the development of medical devices for treatment and diagnostic purposes in the area of diseases of the cardiocirculatory system.

With a view to developing knowledge to improve both the quality of cardiopathic patients’ lives and medical care associated with cardiovascular diseases, Cardiocentro Ticino, since its inception, has sustained and promoted the exchange and dissemination of knowledge among researchers operating in the forefront of health care-related research. Cardiocentro Ticino’s collaborators have produced a large number of publications, and many scientific training meetings and national and international conferences have been organised to promote interaction in the field of research.
